Turner Construction moving xPL Offsite LLC to Decatur, adding 120 jobs

XPL Offsite LLC, a steel fabrication facility and machinery manufacturer, is moving its operations from Huntsville to Decatur and plans to hire 120 workers over the next three years.

Turner Construction Co. announced the launch of its subsidiary, xPL Offsite, last week. It will be moving into a new manufacturing facility at 101 Lenwood Road S.E. It is leasing the building from National Packaging Co.

The scheduled construction completion date is May 15, 2026, officials said Thursday at a Decatur Industrial Development Board meeting.

The estimated capital investment is $7.15 million, with the 120 new jobs having an estimated annual wage of $68,650, IDB attorney Barney Lovelace told the board.

XPL Offsite will specialize in offsite manufacturing and modular projects, which could be used in semiconductor fabrication facilities, data centers and electric vehicle manufacturing plants, as well as sports and public assembly projects, health care and aviation, according to Turner.
